NNETESOL held its annual conference on 5 November 2011 at St.
Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont. The event was a huge success,
with over 200 participants from our tri-state area of Maine, New
Hampshire, and Vermont! We had a number of exhibitors, a variety of
workshops, eight hours of networking with colleagues, and, best of all,
the TESOL president, Christine Coombe. Participant evaluations indicated
that Ms. Coombe’s knowledge was extraordinary, her topic was of great
interest and relevance to our teachers, and she was a fabulous
presenter!
If you are interested in the workshops presented at the
NNETESOL conference, please visit the conference
website for more information.

REDEVELOPING OUR IMAGE
Over the past year, NNETESOL has redeveloped its Web site with
the hope it will be more user friendly and meet the needs of our
members. Our goal was to increase our traffic throughout the year as
well as provide our members with great resources and information. We now
have executive board members blogging monthly along with updated and
pertinent information such as TESOL registration and World Class
Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) courses. Photos and
biographies enhance the executive board member page. To drive our
members to the Web site we strengthened our conference resources by
adding an online Call for Proposal; information about carpooling, area
hotels, and discounts; directions and maps; details for exhibitors and
colleges/universities; and our conference schedule and workshop
descriptions. Take a moment to browse our website and let us know
your thoughts! |
