Dear IEP Community:

In the United States, many of us are winding down the semester and looking forward to intersession break. Wherever you are, we hope this newsletter finds you well and wish you the best for the coming New Year.

We are proud, once again, to offer a robust newsletter with a variety of topics. In this issue, we have articles that cover topics from TOEFL to teacher burnout and from teaching literature to using a “Human Library.” We are also continuing to offer our new feature, interviews with IEP members. If you are interested in being interviewed for an upcoming newsletter, please let us know.

As newsletter editors, we are extremely grateful to have an active Interest Section! As we’ve mentioned before, our IEPIS newsletter is nothing without your articles, so if you are interested in writing, please contact us. See the call for submissions and submission guidelines at the end of the newsletter for more information.

We hope you enjoy this edition of our newsletter; look for the next one before the 2015 Convention in Toronto!

Krista Bittenbender Royal is a senior instructor at the University of South Florida’s English Language Program, aka INTO USF.

Christina Quartararo is the assistant director of the Language Connection, the English Language Institute of St. John’s University.
