Dear IEP Community:
It has now been 5 months since the annual conference in
Portland. There were many interesting and informative presentations, and
we hope you will enjoy reading the articles in this issue based on some
of those presentations—particularly if they are ones you did not have
the opportunity to attend!
We are once again delighted to bring you a diverse selection of
articles and features. This issue highlights topics from student
perceptions of English-only policies to how to help students transition
from IEPs to academic programs. This is our second issue featuring a
member profile, and we couldn’t be happier about helping you all get to
know each other a little better—one member at a time! (Please contact us
if you would like to be interviewed for a Meet the Member feature in a
future issue.)
We would love to hear from you about what you’d like to see in
upcoming issues. Please feel free to contact one or both of us with your
suggestions, requests, and ideas. This newsletter, like this community,
is for you!
