Hello everyone!

We hope you are well. Welcome to this issue of the ITAIS newsletter of 2023. The ITA working group, the listserv, and the webinars have continued to help us maintain our connections with one another and learn from each other. We hope you were also able to participate in TESOL 2023!

In this issue, we welcome a new newsletter co-editor Elka Kristó Nagy who is excited to get started with the newsletter and try out new ways to engage our audience.

We also included an article by Edna Lima on prominence to improve ITAs’ communication skills and a piece by Kelly Torres on ways to engage students in online settings. Then, the issue continues with an article by Roger Anderson on the importance of ITA education and a piece by Darren LaScotte on the recent challenges encountering ITA programs across the U.S.

And don’t forget to check out our community events page since we are looking for a new person to lead this track.

Thank you all for contributing to this newsletter and/or reading it! Please keep sending us your work!

See you virtually and in-person!
