Spring greetings from Buffalo, where the snow is still falling!

As I reflect on the 2011 convention in New Orleans, I am so grateful to so many of you for the hard work that made our time together professionally enriching and personally rewarding.

• To those who submitted the 60 proposals, thank you for the range of fascinating topics you were willing to share―and for garnering 19 slots for us at this year’s convention. If your presentation wasn’t selected this year, there is still time to submit a proposal for 2012 in Philadelphia!
• To those of you who read and rated proposals, thank you for your objectivity, feedback, and time.
• To all of you who presented in New Orleans, singly or in groups, thank you for helping us continue our professional development, for filling us with new ideas, and for making the hike between the Hilton and the Convention Center worthwhile!
• To Elizabeth Wittner, Diane Cotsonas, and Elin Epperson, thank you for finding and securing the fabulous venue for our annual dinner, and for taking care of all the arrangements. Mmmmmmm . . . more bread pudding!
• To Barbara Boockmeier and all who volunteered to help, thank you for being the ITA-IS presence at this year’s modified booth. And sayonara to the old suitcase!
• To the 2010-2011 steering committee, thank you for your assistance to me, and for your service and dedication to our interest section.
• And finally, to all of you, dear members and friends of the ITA Interest Section, thank you for your camaraderie and expertise, which makes next year’s convention something I am eager for already.
