Dear PAIS Community,
Welcome to a New Year!
In the spirit of New Year’s resolutions, we would like to
challenge every program administrator reading this issue to make a
commitment to connect with a peer, mentor, or mentee in the coming year.
Nurturing professional connections allows for the exchange of
innovative ideas and continued professional growth. Whether through a
standing working group of colleagues, or over an informal coffee,
sharing your expertise with others is an easy way to contribute to the
field.
We wish to thank our authors for contributing their work to
this issue of the PAIS Newsletter. Their insights
and innovative practices are what help move us forward as program
administrators. If you have a timely reflection, project success story,
best practice, or book review related to language program
administration, please consider submitting an article for consideration
in our next issue.
The TESOL
2020 International Convention & English Language
Expo in Denver, Colorado, is right around the corner. The
event draws thousands of like-minded practitioners who are actively
engaged in the broader English language teaching professional community
across the many sectors of our field. If you are attending, remember to
pick up a Program Administration Interest Section (PAIS) nametag ribbon
in the registration area to help you connect with other program
administrators.
Are you ready to get actively involved in PAIS or curious about
learning more? Please JOIN US at our
annual business meeting during the Convention in Denver on Wednesday, 1
April 2020, 6 pm–7:30 pm, Room 704. Our members’ involvement helps us to
prioritize interests and to bring meaningful content to you.
Sincerely
Sherry Warren & Erin O’Reilly
