Dear PAIS Community,

We’re very excited to bring you this preconvention newsletter and thank our contributors for their thoughtful articles. This issue includes articles addressing the relationships between teaching and administrative responsibilities. We think you will find these informative and hope they will inspire you to contribute your own article.

We also want to invite you to participate in our “Meet the Member” column. This is something we want to include in all future newsletters. In this column, we will interview a PAIS member about his or her work and perspective on our field. Hannaliisa will be at the PAIS meeting as well as volunteering at the IS booth on the convention floor, so please connect with her in Toronto or write us if you’re interested!

Another way to contribute is to review a book on program administration or leadership that every administrator should have on his or her bookshelf. We all have our favorites, so let’s share the wealth!

Finally, we want to say thank you to the PAIS leaders and community for the support we’ve received with the newsletter. You are a wonderful group to work with, and we feel quite fortunate to serve as your newsletter editors.

Warm regards,

Jackie and Hannaliisa
