Please consider submitting an article for the February/March 2012 issue.
HEIS News welcomes articles that apply to
classroom situations and that focus on ESL/EFL pedagogy, second language
acquisition, academic literacy, language assessment, applied socio- and
psycholinguistics, advocacy, administration, and other related areas.
Given the newsletter’s electronic format, authors are encouraged to
include hyperlinks.
Submission Guidelines
Full-length articles and brief reports should
- be no longer than 1,500 words
- include a 50-word (500 characters or fewer) abstract
- contain no more than five citations
- follow the style guidelines in the Publications
Manual of the American Psychological Association, Sixth Edition (APA Manual)
- be in MS Word (.doc) or rich-text (.rtf) format

Note: It is not necessary to have an article complete and ready
for submission to contact us! Please feel free to get in touch at any
stage of the process. We are happy to answer any questions and work with
you in developing or refining a topic.
