Dear Fellow SPLIS Members,
Happy New Year! We hope this new year finds you well and eager
to learn and share new research and teaching ideas and techniques
related to listening, speaking, and pronunciation.
We present to you the first As We Speak
newsletter of 2011. We hope you find the topics in this issue useful and
interesting. Along with two articles presenting teaching techniques, we
have also included a book review and a book announcement relating to
new publications from those in our field. As always, we encourage you to
submit an article in the future if you have some research results or
ideas to share. We’d love to hear from you!
We hope to see many of you at the 2011 TESOL Convention in New
Orleans. If you are presenting, please consider writing an article about
your topic for the next edition of the newsletter. Or, if you attend a
session that you find particularly useful and pertinent to SPLIS
members, consider e-mailing us the presenter’s name and presentation
title, and we’ll contact them to see if they’ll consider a
submission.
Thank you to all those who submit articles to our newsletter.
We appreciate your taking time out in your busy lives and careers to
share your experiences and knowledge with us.
