Teacher Educator Interest Section: Convention Stories Issue
Deadline for Submissions: 1 March 2023
The Teacher Educator Interest Section (TEIS) of TESOL Int’l invites submissions for the Spring 2023 issue of our IS newsletter. In this issue, we would like you to share your convention stories. Why do you, as a teacher educator, attend conventions? Share with us your first convention experience, or your online convention experience - whether as a presenter or an attendee. Or have you been involved behind the scenes as a reviewer? What role do conventions play in a teacher’s career development? Is attending conventions supported through management and the institution? Or is this something more personal and the responsibility of the individual? Share your stories, and your convention highlights!
We welcome submissions from teacher candidates’ voices, new teachers, teacher educators, mentor teachers, field supervisors--all of us involved in TESOL teacher education. We especially encourage contributions from around the globe, and new as well as seasoned authors, to build knowledge together.
Articles
Articles should be between 800 and 1,750 words and may address program descriptions, course descriptions, best practices, teaching techniques, or any topic of interest to ESOL teacher educators that pertains to the questions posed above.
Book Reviews
Book reviews of between 300 and 500 words should provide the reviewer’s analysis of books that are relevant to the practice and theory of (language) teacher education.
TEIS Voices
TEIS voices are paragraphs of approximately 100 words that introduce a teacher educator’s work or program. TEIS voices serve as a networking tool as well as an opportunity to shine a spotlight on a teacher, program, or country we might not otherwise read about.
