Teacher Educator Interest Section: Continuing Professional Development Issue

Deadline for Submissions: October 31, 2022

The Teacher Educator Interest Section (TEIS) of TESOL Int’l invites submissions for the Winter 2022 issue of our IS newsletter. In this issue, we would like to focus on continuing professional development (CPD) across the globe, especially in different contexts. What does CPD mean in the context you work in? What role does it play in a teacher’s career development? Is professional development supported through management and the institution? Or is this something more personal and the responsibility of the individual? And how are you, as a teacher educator, involved in continuing professional development?

We welcome submissions from teacher candidates’ voices, new teachers, teacher educators, mentor teachers, field supervisors--all of us involved in TESOL teacher education. We especially encourage contributions from around the globe, and new as well as seasoned authors, to build knowledge together.

Articles

Articles should be between 800 and 1,750 words and may address program descriptions, course descriptions, best practices, teaching techniques, or any topic of interest to ESOL teacher educators that pertains to the questions posed above.

Book Reviews

Book reviews of between 300 and 500 words should provide the reviewer’s analysis of books that are relevant to the practice and theory of (language) teacher education.

TEIS Voices

TEIS voices are paragraphs of approximately 100 words that introduce a teacher educator’s work or program. TEIS voices serve as a networking tool as well as an opportunity to shine a spotlight on a teacher, program, or country we might not otherwise read about.

Send your submissions, as Word documents (no PDFs), to Khanh-Duc Kuttig & Bridget Schvarcz at teis.newsletter@gmail.com no later than midnight, October 31st, 2022 Eastern time.

Please follow these submission guidelines for your article:
