LETTER FROM THE CHAIR ELECT
Rebecca Oreto, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Hello to all of my friends and colleagues in ITA programs everywhere!

My name is Rebecca Oreto and I am the associate director of the Intercultural Communication Center at Carnegie Mellon University. I have been working with ITAs for about 12 years, and I have found the ITAIS to be an essential source of information for research and best practices regarding ITA training.

As the chair elect, I am in charge of putting together relevant intersections, which involves trying to organize conference sessions between our ITAIS and other TESOL interest sections that address the current needs and interests of ITAs. I would be very interested to hear your ideas for planning these sessions, and what you think relevant topics would be. Based on your input, I will see what is possible to arrange.

I hope you all wrap up your semesters successfully and I look forward to hearing from you.

Rebecca
