test to demonstrate that they have the oral English proficiency needed
to be a university instructor. Do higher oral proficiency scores predict
higher teaching evaluations? This study examined the extent to which
TOEFL iBT Speaking and Listening scores could predict ITA teaching
performance, as measured by student evaluations of their ITA
