LETTER FROM THE CHAIR-ELECT

Hello, ITA-IS.

I hope your semester (or quarter) is going well and that many of you have received your acceptance emails to present at TESOL 2017 in Seattle. I look forward to seeing your work in March. I am happy to tell you that we will have an excellent Academic Session that brings together researchers from applied linguistics to discuss L2 pragmatics for ITAs. This is also an exciting time for TESOL with the rollout of the new myTESOL member engagement platform. I hope you’ve had time to update your profile and make sure all the settings are as you want them. Thank you to Diane Cotsonas for all her work on the transition.

Sincerely,

Stephen Looney
