ITAIS COMMUNITY EVENTS UPDATE

I am thrilled to join the ITAIS this year as the community events coordinator. Like last year, we plan to include several webinars that will be informative and engaging. The online format of the last year has served a great purpose in helping many professionals in our interest section stay connected and learn new tools. In addition, these webinars serve a need when many institutions have cut funding for travel, you can still obtain professional development by attending and presenting.

To make the webinars a success, I need your input. If you would take just a few minutes to complete the questionnaire about topics, days/times, etc. it will help me start planning for this year’s sessions. This year, we are also thinking about ways we can collaborate with other TESOL Interest Sections, so keep that in mind when you make suggestions for topics. Another thing I would like to be able to do is keep the ITAIS informed about other professional development opportunities that might be valuable, pass it along.

You may email me at any time with suggestions and ideas (kml315@lehigh.edu). I look forward to connecting with many of you throughout the year. In the meantime, I encourage you to check out the ITAIS YouTube Channel where many of last year’s webinar recordings have been added. We plan to continue adding this year’s recordings, so keep the channel bookmarked.
