Dear Fellow SPLIS Members,
Greetings! We hope that the new school year has gotten off to a
good start and that your teaching endeavors are going well. We are
pleased to announce the publication of this year’s second edition of the
SPLIS newsletter. This issue contains articles on a wide variety of
current and relevant topics. Enjoy!
As always, we encourage you to share some of your ideas and
findings from your teaching and research with us in this As We
Speak newsletter. We would love to receive book reviews,
articles about some new technology or technique you’ve used, or a
summary of some research. If you presented at a recent TESOL convention
or plan to present at a future one, consider writing up a brief article
about your presentation and submitting it to us. And if you have
suggestions for future newsletters, we are happy to hear those as
well.
We will soon be putting out a call for our special graduate
student edition of the newsletter, so we hope some of our newer members
will contribute!
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the TESOL
convention in Philadelphia (the theme being “A Declaration of
Excellence”), March 28-31, 2012.
Have a wonderful holiday season!
Amanda and Carolyn
