CALL FOR BOOK REVIEW SUBMISSIONS

Book reviews are a popular feature of the TEIS newsletter. To request or suggest a book for review or for more information, please contact the book review editor, Jillian Baldwin Kim.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

TEIS News welcomes reviews of scholarly books and textbooks that are relevant to the practice and theory of teacher education or professional development. Anyone interested in writing a review for TEIS News may choose a recent book in the field and contact the editor for approval. Reviews will be considered for publication based on the quality of the reviewer's evaluation and description of the book and the book's relevance and importance to the field.

Here are specific submission guidelines:

  • Reviews should be 300–500 words.
  • Include a title for the article (written in ALL CAPS).
  • Include author’s name, affiliation, city, country, and e-mail.
  • Include a 50-word abstract or teaser for the newsletter homepage.
  • Include a 2- to 3-sentence biography of the author.
  • Provide no more than five citations.
  • Format text in MS Word (.doc(x)) or rich text (.rtf).
  • Include author’s photo in jpeg format with a head-and-shoulder shot (optional but encouraged!).
  • Write manuscript according to APA style (6th ed.).
