LETTER FROM THE SECRETARY

Hello everyone in ITAIS,

I hope your academic year is going smoothly thus far. My thoughts are with those of you who were impacted by hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta was closed for 2 days, and many of us were at home without power. I hope that this letter finds all of you safe and well, and beginning the clean-up and recovery process from those storms.

The TESOL proposal acceptance emails have gone out, and I look forward to seeing many of you presenting at the convention in March. The annual convention is the highlight of the academic year for me, and I know many of you feel the same way. The ITA Interest Section provides an important professional community, particularly for those of us who work alone in our roles supporting and training ITAs.

Have an excellent fall semester/quarter. I look forward to seeing you in Chicago!

Best wishes,

Mo Burke
