LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

I hope everyone is doing well this semester.

For this ITAIS Newsletter, we have four interesting articles. The first one discusses solutions for receiving more support from the campus community for ITA professionals. The second article, written by our chair, discusses how the use of video and transcription help to make language and teaching visible. The third article focuses on the benefits of using a voice-sharing app, called VoiceThread, for building fluency and confidence. Finally, the last article provides a new direction in research for ITA program development.

All four articles provide useful information, and I hope you enjoy reading them. If you have a topic that you would like to write about, please consider it for the next newsletter, which will be in February of 2018.
