ITAIS EVENTS AT TESOL 2022

Belinda Braunstein, University of California, Merced, CA, USA

Since our membership is split between attending TESOL 2022 in person and virtually, this year the ITAIS will be offering two options for socializing with colleagues. Immediately following our interest section meeting at TESOL (specific date still TDB), those participating in person will have the opportunity to meet up for dinner together at a Pittsburgh restaurant. Dining plans will be worked out at the beginning of 2022, when more interest section members know whether they will attend in person.

On a separate evening during TESOL – still Eastern Standard Time – interested ITAIS members are invited to participate in a 45-minute online murder mystery via Zoom. Although the event is free, participants will need to sign up in advance in order to receive the roles they will be playing in this fun – and funny - event. Overacting is encouraged for this. Alas, work will not be discussed at this particular event!

Whether you plan to attend TESOL in person or online, we have something for you. Be on the lookout for email with details about these events in early 2022.
