CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS


The SPLIS e-newsletter, As We Speak… [aez wiy spiyk], is soliciting articles on any of the various aspects of teaching and tutoring pronunciation, oral skills, and listening that apply to and/or focus on ESL/EFL pedagogy, second language acquisition, accent addition/reduction, assessment of those skills, and other related research. We also solicit book reviews for both classroom and methodology texts. Teaching tips, tutoring tips, and classroom strategies are also acceptable submissions.

Submission Guidelines

Articles should have the following characteristics:

  • Be no longer than 1,500 words
  • Include a 50-word (500 characters or less) abstract
  • Contain no more than five citations
  • Follow the style guidelines in Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Sixth Edition (APA)
  • Be in MS Word (.doc(x)) or rich text (.rtf) format
